Mulheres na história da filosofia: desafios metodológicos
O projeto “Mulheres na história da filosofia: desafios metodológicos” pretende contribuir para a inclusão de filósofas no cânone filosófico. O projeto se insere em três áreas da história da filosofia – antiga, medieval e moderna – centrando-se sobre as contribuições de três figuras centrais: as pitagóricas (as primeiras e as tardias), Christine de Pizan e Anne Conway. O projeto visa consolidar o estudo dessas mulheres no Brasil, assim como contribuir para sua integração à historiografia especializada, a qual tradicionalmente ignora a produção de mulheres. A proposta está organizada em atividades que, no cenário nacional, contribuirão para a mudança do imaginário público acerca do valor e presença das mulheres na História da Filosofia: workshops, obtenção de acervo bibliográfico às instituições envolvidas, promoção de debate nacional e internacional sobre o tema e uma ou mais publicações resultantes do debate promovido nos workshops.
Women in the history of philosophy: methodological challenges
The project “Women in the history of philosophy: methodological challenges” intends to contribute to the inclusion of female philosophers in the philosophical canon. The project fits into three areas of the history of philosophy – ancient, medieval and modern – focusing on the contributions of three central figures: the Pythagoreans (early and late), Christine de Pizan and Anne Conway. The project aims to consolidate the study of these women in Brazil, as well as to contribute to their integration into specialized historiography, which traditionally ignores the production of women authors. The proposal is organized in activities that, on the national sphere, shall contribute to changing the public imagination about the value and presence of women in the History of Philosophy: workshops, obtaining a bibliographic collection for the institutions involved, promoting national debate and one or more publications as a result of the debate promoted in the workshops.
